Rev. Mark Canute Stewart, born to parents Lascelles Stewart and Sylvia Vernon in the quaint district of Clarkes Town Trelawny. Though born in Trelawny he moved away to the parish of St. James where he spent most of his life.  He adopted the Christian principles at a very early age and gave his life to the Lord as a teenager and has not looked back since, even as he endured the struggles and hardship that was associated with his walk with the Lord.
As a teenager he was actively involved in youth ministry and acquired the skills of playing the drums that even to date he still enjoys. He would not be limited to just being the drummer boy in church as his ambition dictated that he would strive for more.
He entered full time Ministry in the year 2000 and acquired the following accreditations:
  • Diploma in Theology (International University of the Caribbean)
  • Diploma in Evangelism ( Jamaica and the Caribbean School of Evangelism)
  • National Evangelist for the United Church of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands

During this period he also served as Lay Pastor at the St.Paul’s United Church in St. James.
Rev. Mark Stewart  currently lives in Manchester with wife Verma Stewart and his three beautiful children Nathaniel, Kevaughn and  Janiella where he serves three churches as Pastor; Davyton United, Bethel United and Blue Mountain United. He also serves as:
  • Certified Marriage Officer
  • Wedding Planner
